Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the WN4 area of Wigan that is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September 2025. This is a long-term, ongoing position suitable for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning and development.
About the role:
* Start-date: 1st September
* School is in a great location with excellent transport links across Wigan
The successful candidate will work across the school, providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs as well as working with small groups to deliver targeted interventions. You will be expected to work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies, monitor progress, and promote engagement in learning. Additionally, you will assist in classroom activities, encouraging positive behaviour, and helping to create a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Key Requirements:
* Experience working with children in a primary school setting
* Knowledge of SEN is desirable but not essential
* Ability to adapt and differentiate tasks to meet individual needs
* Stonge communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
