Description of role
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at our Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail to contribute to a fast‑paced finance function.
The successful candidate will support the day‑to‑day financial operations of the business and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with management accounting processes.
Responsibilities
* Maintenance and reconciliation of nominal ledgers
* Preparation and posting of journals
* Accurate maintenance of financial ledgers
* Reconciliation of control accounts
* Collation and preparation of information for management accounts
* Assisting with month‑end procedures
* Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
* Supporting the wider finance team with administrative and accounting duties as required
Requirements and Qualifications
Person Specification
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a finance or accounts environment
* Strong working knowledge of nominal ledger management
* Experience with journalling and ledger maintenance
* Experience completing control account reconciliationsStrong communication skills and a proactive approach
Qualifications
* AAT qualification advantageous but not essential.
