Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Resourcing Manager to join our Workforce Planning team in support of our Audit business in the North. This is a key role in supporting the firm’s growth ambitions and will play a key part in transforming our resourcing service across offices in the North.
As Resource Manager your responsibilities will include among others
* Developing a deep understanding of departmental resourcing needs and take ownership of workforce planning and scheduling for assigned teams.
* Build strong relationships with the Manager group to understand business requirements and support effective resource allocation.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of individual team members’ skills, aspirations, and development needs to enable optimal workforce deployment.
* Ensure fair and consistent allocation of work across the department, balancing business priorities and individual development.
* Apply commercial insight to resourcing decisions, promoting alternative solutions where appropriate to maximise value.
* Monitor and report on utilisation and capacity levels, providing regular updates to the leadership team.
* Track and analyse time-recording data to identify discrepancies and support accurate reporting.
* Produce high-quality, commercially focused management information, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have/be;
* Proven experience in a similar resourcing or workforce planning role.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Highly proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines.
* Strong customer focus and relationship-building capabilities.
* Commercially aware, with an understanding of key business drivers and pressures.
* Collaborative team player.
* Ability to interpret and analyse management information and present actionable insights.
