Base Pay Range
Chichester College have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an Lecturer in 14-16 Alternative Provision at our Brinsbury campus. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £27,785 - £43,325 per annum. This is an exciting opportunity for an inspiring, dynamic and committed Lecturer who has relevant experience of supporting learners who have, up until now, not engaged in mainstream education. You will be creative, experienced and passionate about working with these students aged 14-16 and have the ability to engage and encourage students to participate and develop new skills in an exciting and motivating environment, this may include the delivery of Maths and English as part of your timetable.
Key Responsibilities
* To undertake teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
* To undertake and support the delivery of levels of Functional Skills and GCSE in Maths, English, Personal Social Education (PSE).
* To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
* To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
* To develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration Maths and English development and equality and diversity.
* To participate in marketing activities and promote the College in a positive way for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
* To participate in student reviews and other relevant meetings to manage the achievement and attendance of students.
Qualifications and Experience
* Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification.
* Relevant industry/subject experience.
* Working knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies.
* Time management skills, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
>Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners.
* To obtain an appropriate teaching qualification as defined by the Corporation.
