We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as our Category Buyer, based at our European Head office in Gravesend, Kent.Joining us on a Fixed Term Basis, (Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.30pm) with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, you will receive a competitive salary.

We are looking for a results driven Procurement professional to support Moove’s growth and significant value generation through strategic sourcing initiatives, continuous aggressive cost savings activities and strengthen supplier relationships across direct categories.
Responsibilities as our Category Buyer are to:
1. Lead cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects by identifying and implementing savings opportunities across indirect, direct, and third-party subcontractor spend
2. Recommend, implement, and monitor procurement strategies that create value and efficiency.
3. Drive for improved Supplier Payment terms
4. Experience with supplier NDA’s and Supplier agreements.
5. Understanding of CLP and Supplier compliance
6. Collaborate with Quality and Operations teams to support supplier audits to maintain certifications in environmental and quality compliance.
7. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve supply chain planning and performance both internally and externally.
8. Undertake supplier reviews and Supplier Risk assessments and Risk management
9. Ensure robust sourcing strategies across direct and indirect procurement categories
Essential Skills required of our Category Buyer:
10. Strong procurement background, ideally from a Lubricants industry (Lubricant, Additive or Base Oil Manufacturers) or industries such as Chemicals, Energy, general Manufacturing, Pharma
11. Proven negotiation skills and experience establishing supplier agreements.
12. Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality/audit processes.
13. Familiarity in dealing with supplier agreements and NDA’s
14. Strong understanding of supply chain planning.
15. Proficiency in SAP (S/4HANA preferred).
16. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery experience.
17. Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
18. Highly organised, analytical and results-driven.
19. MIP, CIPS or Supply Chain related degree
20. Track record of delivering improvements through structured processes and governance.
21. Experience leading transformations in manufacturing environments.
22. Up-to-date knowledge of continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
23. Experience with Budgets
24. Able to solve problems and have a can do attitude
Desirable Skills
25. Experience with Operations in the Lubricants industry (Lubricant, Additive or Base Oil Manufacturers) will be seen as a strong benefit (however, it is not essential and we may explore fit with people that have experience in other industries such as Chemicals, Energy, general Manufacturing, Pharma, etc.)
26. Knowledge of S&OP and Production Planning.
27. Knowledge within distribution/import export and compliance across various countries.
28. Experience in implementing solutions to develop and achieve sustainability goals
29. Science or Business Degree
30. A sound understanding of commercial and business fundamentals and drivers of the wider lubricants business
31. Proficient in Microsoft Power BI
32. Languages: French and Spanish
