About The Role
We are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Engineer responsible for planning and executing comprehensive system and application end-to-end testing based on project requirements and system design. This role involves thorough test planning, defect identification, documentation, and reporting.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and analyze project requirements to create reliable, comprehensive test approaches.
2. Design and implement tests, debug, and define corrective actions.
3. Contribute to creating test plans, strategies, and cases.
4. Assist in defining regression plans to minimize risk and ensure coverage.
5. Create test estimates and assist in developing project milestones and timelines.
6. Collaborate with test automation team to expand the automated test suite.
7. Create and execute test scripts based on project requirements and system design.
8. Coordinate test script reviews with stakeholders.
9. Conduct all levels of testing including smoke, functional, integration, and regression.
10. Identify knowledge gaps in the team and work with management to address them.
11. Interface with users and domain experts to establish trust and credibility, ensuring products bring value.
12. Report issues/defects and follow through to resolution.
13. Keep QA Lead and management informed of quality status and test progress.
14. Coordinate defect validation and reporting, assisting developers in recreating defects.
15. Create and maintain test documents following QA best practices.
16. Report QA deliverables status to a wide audience, including test plans, execution, and incident metrics.
17. Assist in coordinating user acceptance testing and documentation.
18. Support release training sessions and implementations.
19. Provide production support as needed.
Person Specification
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Experience with test automation framework design, execution, and reporting.
2. Experience with CRM and Broker Management systems like Acturis.
3. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
4. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
5. High integrity and confidentiality adherence.
6. Ability to coach and mentor team members.
Education and Experience
1. Proven experience in writing automated test scripts.
2. Strong SQL skills and database testing experience.
3. Experience working within multiple integration applications.
4. Experience with SaaS web applications.
5. Familiarity with SDLC processes, including iterative and hybrid models.
6. Experience with platforms using C#, ASP.NET, and JavaScript frameworks.
7. Experience in automation scripting and testing skills.
