INTERNAL ONLY (DCC Employees Only)
Are you passionate about making a real difference in adult social care? Do you thrive in a role where you can connect with people at all levels, influencing change and shaping policies that truly matter? If so, we've got an exciting opportunity for you
The Policy and Executive Support Team has a wide ranging agenda and plays an important role in IASC across operations and commissioning, helping to ensure links and relationships are maintained. The Team is active and influencing across the wider Council, well connected to other Directorates and Teams working with Senior Officers and Councillors.
The Team is also well connected and maintains good relationships with partners and peers locally and nationally to support its work and that of the Directorate. Recently these relationships have had a focus on CQC Inspection preparedness.
We are looking for an individual who gets it - who can demonstrate an understanding and connection to practice, who understands the challenges, and who can work proactively and positively across a wide ranging agenda, with all levels of staff, holding multiple pieces of work.
You'll be responsible for the IASC policy framework, developing and implementing operational and commissioning policy, and providing policy advice and support to ensure the delivery of our statutory duties, working alongside operational staff supporting the delivery of national and local policy.
You'll also play a leading role in the on-going preparations, and delivery of CQC inspection, particularly the leadership, development and maintenance of the Information Return. This role is a key function that co-ordinates and brings together a significant amount of work across many teams, developing, embedding and showcasing our story and who we are.
This role is offered as an internal secondment until May 2025, with the potential for it to become permanent. So if you're ready for a new challenge, or to take the next step in your career we'd love to hear from you.
