Engagement: Casual position offering variable hours on a flexible basis Rate: Hourly sessional rates Location: On site Department: Forest Netball Reporting to: Netball Pathway Lead About the Role: We are currently recruiting for Nottingham Forest Netball Coaches across all our age groups (NSL, Reserve, U19, U17 & U15). The role includes coaching, planning and administration across the groups. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: To act as a Head Coach/Assistant coach for the programme in both training environments & competitive fixtures. Support with the implementation of the vision and culture of the Nottingham Forest Netball Pathway. To work with the various coaches across the pathway in creating high performance environments enabling each athlete to develop their technical, tactical, physical and psychological competences. To work closely with the Pathway Head Coach & Sport Science Sports Medicine team to support delivery of a high quality periodised training and competition programmes for targeted players. Learning Opportunities Work with and learn from high performance coaches across the England Netball Player Pathway and Nottingham Forest Netball pathway. CPD opportunities & workshops provided by England Netball and external stakeholders General Ensure you act as a positive role model, ambassador and advocate for the sport, Nottingham Forest and England Netball, at all times. Respect and promote the spirit and intentions of England Netball’s Safeguarding and Protecting Young People policy adopted by Nottingham Forest Netball. Actively role model England Netball Equality Policy ensuring it is at the forefront of how we work. Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time that are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of Nottingham Forest Netball. Ensuring at all times Nottingham Forest Netball is presented in an appropriate and professional manner. What are we looking for: Education / Qualifications UKCC Level 2 and above Valid UKCC Safeguarding Children certificate First aid qualification Experience Experience of coaching netball within a performance environment Experience of working with athletes aged between 14-19 within a performance environment Excellent athlete management experience Experience of planning & implementing a high-performance program Skills / Abilities / Knowledge An ability to inspire individuals, build trust and a create a positive & ambitious team culture An ability to balance Nottingham Forest Netball responsibilities with other commitments An ability to work in a team An ability to articulate tactical changes and technical improvements to athletes in a pressurised situation in a concise and meaningful manner Knowledge of HUDL and Performance Analysis An understanding of Roses Development Framework Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people Personal Attributes Passionate about netball Excellent communication and people skills Able to build relationships and work in partnership with others Organised, adaptable and innovative Integrity, honesty, trust and respect Forest For Everyone We aim to create a culture which embraces and celebrates our differences, enables individuals to feel comfortable, maximise their potential and eliminate discrimination. Failure to satisfy the Club and the PL's safeguarding requirements may lead to the job offer being withdrawn or, if they have already started employment, summary termination of the employment.
