Job Description
My client, a specialist UK-based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is seeking a Senior Flood Risk Consultant in Manchester. Applicants should have a strong academic background, including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, or Environmental Modelling, and experience in completing flood risk assessments. Experience with drainage strategies and an interest in climate change and nutrient neutrality are advantageous.
As a Senior Consultant, you will join a specialist flood risk team to work on a variety of projects across residential, retail, industrial, renewable energy, and climate change sectors for public and private clients, including insurance companies. Responsibilities include:
* Conducting Flood Risk Assessments
* Performing Flood Risk Due Diligence for Real Estate
* Flood Estimation using ReFH and Winfap-Rainfall
* Weather and Wildfire Analysis
* Preparing Hydrology and Environmental Chapters for EIAs
* Nutrient Neutrality Assessments
* Developing Property Flood Resilience Plans
* Designing Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications
* Preparing bid proposals and tenders
* Managing projects and client meetings to discuss project development
