At Step into Learning, we're seeking a passionate and dynamic Employability Trainer who is eager to make a lasting impact on young learners aged 16+. In this role, you'll be a mentor, a guide, and a source of inspiration as you help learners achieve their employment ambitions. Your mission will be to empower individuals, promote confidence, and make employment a positive experience.

You will also have the skills required to teach wider learning to young people, which will include delivering a curriculum linked to personal, social and health education.

This is more than just a teaching position; it's an opportunity to play a pivotal role in empowering learners to overcome challenges, achieve their employment ambitions, and reach their full potential. Tasks

Requirements


Key qualification, skills and experience

o L2 Maths & English

o Minimum of two years teaching/coaching/training experience

o A working knowledge (or willingness to work towards this) of adaptive teaching practices

o A commitment to student-centred learning

o Effective oral and written communication, numeracy and interpersonal qualifications & skills to communicate effectively with staff and learners alike

o Active listening skills

o an understanding of and commitment to equal opportunities policies and practices

o A commitment to personal staff development
