Head of Operations (In a digitally-led, creative production agency)
Location: Leeds, city-centre outskirts

Salary: Circa £50–£70k DOE
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, hybrid 2 days minimum in agency
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Head of Operations to play a pivotal role in how this agency runs, performs and grows. Our agency partner aim to guide brands through the digital landscape, working collaboratively to deploy the highest quality experiences for people. They aim to be a brand's creative production partner.
With a busy studio and a team of production specialists, things move quickly. This role ensures everything stays organised, efficient and high-performing — bringing structure, clarity and momentum to the day-to-day.
Working closely with the leadership team, you'll support production departments, oversee workflow and resourcing, and line-manage the Studio Assistant. You'll focus on improving operational efficiency, elevating output quality, and providing accurate reporting and insight to inform board-level decision-making.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Studio & Production Operations
· Oversee day-to-day studio and production operations
· Own studio workflows, resource planning and scheduling
· Ensure smooth, efficient delivery across teams
· Lead operational problem-solving, removing blockers before they escalate
Team Leadership
· Coach, support and line-manage the Studio Assistant
· Provide clarity, structure and confidence within the operations function
· Help maintain a positive, supportive and accountable studio culture
Process & Systems
· Own and evolve documented processes, tooling and internal communication
· Identify inefficiencies and implement smarter ways of working
· Drive consistency, structure and accountability across delivery
Commercial & Reporting
· Work closely with Finance on forecasting, budgets and commercial oversight
· Monitor capacity, utilisation and operational performance
· Produce clear reporting and operational insight for leadership and the board
· Support strategic planning and operational decision-making
About You
You're an experienced operations leader who thrives in creative, digital or production-led environments. You understand how studios function at pace — and how to bring order without slowing momentum.
You're calm under pressure, commercially aware and confident making decisions. You're as comfortable looking at utilisation data as you are coaching a team member.
Most importantly, you enjoy improving systems, solving problems and helping teams perform at their best.
Skills & Experience
· Proven operations experience within a creative, digital or production-led environment
· Experience managing people and supporting team development
· Strong understanding of workflow management, resourcing and delivery cycles
· Confident working with forecasting, capacity planning and utilisation metrics
· Clear communicator who brings clarity and calm under pressure
· Highly organised, detail-driven and comfortable making decisions
Bonus Experience (Nice to Have)
· Jira (or similar workflow / project management tools)
· Float (or similar resource planning & scheduling platforms)
· Xero or basic financial operations exposure
· Notion (or similar documentation & knowledge management tools)
