Maintenance Support Engineer – UK & Ireland- Killingholme
About the role
The Maintenance Support Engineer – will support the coordination and management of regulatory and statutory maintenance activities across the UK & Ireland operations. This includes inspection programmes for pipelines, electrical and mechanical systems, bunds, structures, in-service tank inspections, PSSR, and other regulated assets. The role will assist in planning, tracking, and reporting inspection progress in line with engineering scopes of work and statutory requirements. Working closely with the maintenance, engineering, and compliance teams, the Graduate Engineer will ensure all regulatory maintenance activities are executed safely, effectively, and fully documented. The role will also support CMMS compliance, ensuring asset and inspection data are accurately maintained and aligned with company and regulatory standards
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the coordination and scheduling of regulatory inspections and maintenance programmes (e.g., pipelines, electrical, PSSR, structural integrity, bunds, and in-service tank inspections).
2. Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and certificates within the CMMS and document control systems.
3. Ensure CMMS compliance by verifying that inspection activities, findings, and close-out actions are correctly recorded, traceable, and audit-ready.
4. Track progress against the statutory inspection schedule and report performance to the engineering and maintenance management teams.
5. Liaise with internal engineering teams and external inspection bodies or contractors to ensure timely completion of all inspection activities.
6. Support the review and close-out of inspection findings, ensuring actions are appropriately recorded, verified, and managed to completion.
7. Assist in KPIs, and progress reports for inspection compliance and asset integrity.
8. Contribute to maintaining complete, auditable documentation for regulatory and internal assurance reviews.
9. Provide administrative and technical support to the engineering and maintenance teams on compliance-related initiatives.
10. Promote adherence to company standards, regulatory obligations, and safe systems of work at all times
About You
You will hold an engineering degree (any discipline) and have strong IT literacy, including Excel and data handling. Industrial placement, internship, or relevant project experience within an engineering or maintenance environment is essential. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and teamwork abilities are key. A willingness to travel across UK & Ireland sites and a proactive approach to professional development are required.
