We are excited to announce a permanent opening for a Software Engineer at our state-of-the-art facility in Severn Beach, Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of software development, as you will be actively involved in every phase of the software development lifecycle.
What You'll Do
* Develop and maintain cutting-edge software, firmware, and databases using various tools and languages.
* Manage projects to ensure timely delivery that meets objectives and timescales.
* Assist with machine issues during build and test phases.
* Provide second-line support for our worldwide network of field service engineers.
* Engage with a global customer base to understand their needs and support new software implementations.
* Contribute to the sales process by answering technical questions and providing solutions.

Education / Experience
* Degree level qualified in computing or a related field with a proven track record.
* Minimum 2 years of experience in software development.
* Experience with C# .NET Core and WPF.
* Experience with C and C++ for low-level and real-time development.
Desirable
* Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, Modbus, etc.).
* Experience with PLCs and ladder logic.
* Agile/Scrum methodologies.
* Familiarity with electrical and mechanical drawings.
* Experience with PowerShell scripting.
* Exposure to machine learning or other forms of AI.
Professional Skills / Abilities
* Strong communication and client-facing skills, capable of articulating complex topics.
* Self-motivated and capable of independently driving technical investigations and finding solutions.
* In-depth knowledge of Windows software and experience with real-time control systems.
* Knowledge of hardware interfacing desirable.
* Computer literacy and effective use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
