Experienced Tax accountant required to join an exciting Bristol based organisation.
Principal Responsibilities
Day to Day
1. Prepare the annual Corporation Tax and VAT returns
2. Complete monthly group reporting for Tax
3. Calculate statutory tax accruals and prepare disclosure notes for UK financial statements
4. Critically review existing tax processes, adopting a continuous improvement mindset
5. Maintain accurate tax cash flow forecasting and assist in preparation of tax forecasts and budgets
6. Collaborate with finance, legal, treasury, and risk teams to ensure tax is embedded in business decision-making
7. Liaise with internal stakeholders and external advisors e.g. managing tax audits, assisting the wider business on tax advisory matters
8. Support the Group Tax Manager on key tax projects such as transfer pricing
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
9. Proven track record of tax compliance and tax accounting preferably with experience in industry
10. Strong working knowledge of UK tax (mainly Corporation Tax and VAT)
11. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to translate complex tax matters into clear, actionable advice for non-specialists
12. Comfortable both working autonomously and collaborating effectively as needed
13. ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent accountancy qualification or CTA or equivalent tax qualification desirable but not essential, Tax experienced QBE would be welcomed.

Salary to £55k + excellent benefits including salary sacrifice car allowance
Flexible, hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home
