Hours: Full-Time, Permanent, (37.5 hrs per week, Mon-Fri, 8.30 am - 4.30 pm)
Location: Oldbury
Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum, (depending on experience & qualifications)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Employability Tutor based in our Oldbury centre.
Nova Training is one of the UK’s most popular and experienced training providers operating for over 30 years in Study Programmes and Apprenticeships. Nova now operates its 14-24 provision from 13 locations across the West Midlands and East of England.
Our programme delivery includes 16-18 study programmes, pre-apprenticeships, provision for learners with high needs, apprenticeships, and 14-16 alternative provision.
Rated as Good by Ofsted in all areas of provision, offering a variety of education options to young people.
As an Employability Tutor, you will work with students to develop their employability skills and help them gain the necessary qualifications to succeed in the job market. Your role involves providing support and guidance to students, ensuring they meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create conditions in the training centre that develop the abilities, skills, and confidence of each learner.
* Empathise, engage, and motivate learners across programmes.
* Ensure that Functional Skills are embedded in all lessons.
* Regularly assess learners' work according to awarding body and Ofsted criteria.
* Support, mentor, and motivate learners throughout their journey to help them complete their learning aims and qualifications.
Requirements:
* Experience of delivering Functional Skills or Maths and English to Level 2.
* A relevant teaching qualification, minimum PTLLS.
* An assessing qualification, Full TAQA or V1.
* Teaching experience within 14-19 provision.
* Understanding of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework.
* Full, clean UK Driving License.
