Consultant Anaesthetist

We are seeking a Consultant Anaesthetists to join our dynamic and progressive team. The appointee will be expected to be proficient in all aspects of perioperative care.

Main duties of the job
The role will include a mix of elective and emergency theatre sessions across the Warrington, Nightingale and Captain Sir Tom Moore sites.
You will be expected to participate in the emergency on call rota (T1) currently 1:14 and will participate in two trauma weekends per year.

Job responsibilities
This is a substantive post based at Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals.
Applicants are required to hold Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists or equivalent qualifications, to be fully registered with the General Medical Council and listed on the Specialist Register or due to be registered within six months of the date of interview.
A formal job plan will be agreed within three months of the commencement date. The job plan will be reviewed annually following appraisal.
The job plan will be a prospective agreement that sets out a consultants duties, responsibilities and objectives. It will cover all aspects of a consultants professional practice including clinical work, teaching, research, education and managerial responsibilities, both internal and external.
The illustrative job plan details a mixture of flexible and regular theatre sessions. If there are particular specialties that the candidate(s) is interested in this can be discussed further.
