The Role
Tameside’s Operations and Greenspace Service is seeking to recruit an Environmental Maintenance Operative. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for tasks that maintain and improve the local environment.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and well-organized individual to join the Street Cleansing Team. Main duties include emptying street litter bins, litter picking, cutting back overhanging vegetation, and removing fly tipping and low levels of graffiti. Experience with hand tools and powered machinery such as blowers and hedge trimmers is desirable.
The shift pattern includes Saturday work. The role is based at Hyde Depot but may require working from other Council depots.
An essential requirement is a full current driving license and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
