Job Title: Accounts Assistant.
Location: Manchester (hybrid).
Salary: £ Annum.
Our client is recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their organisation—a gambling group of five interconnected companies delivering a cohesive suite of services within a single ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
* Purchase ledger maintenance including inputting invoices, authorisation of invoices, preparation of weekly payment runs and reconciling corresponding bank transactions.
* Handling any supplier queries regarding payments.
* Sales ledger maintenance including raising occasional invoices and monitoring credit control
* Assist with monthly preparation of journals, including accruals and prepayments, towards preparation of management accounts
* Bank and credit card reconciliations, as well as employee expense claims.
* PO management, including responding to queries.
* Ad-hoc reporting/analysis when necessary.
* Support the statutory accounting and audit process.
* Assistance with the preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
What We're Looking For
* Previous 2-5 years experience within an Accounts environment would be beneficial.
* Good Excel and Mathematical Skills
* Excellent organisation and administrative skills with attention to detail essential.
* Ability to work in a team environment, but also to work on own initiative being adaptive and flexible.
* Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and contribute to a busy and dynamic environment.
