Fostering Social Worker
Pay: £38 per hour
Contract: Temporary
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Fostering Social Worker to join a dedicated fostering team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people by supporting foster carers to provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake assessments of prospective foster carers (Form F assessments)
* Provide ongoing supervision, support, and guidance to approved foster carers
* Complete annual reviews of fostering households
* Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to ensure positive outcomes for children
* Ensure all safeguarding procedures are adhered to at all times
* Support placement stability and contribute to care planning
* Participate in out-of-hours duty work on a rota basis (if applicable)
Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
* Proven experience within fostering, kinship, or children's services
* Strong assessment and report‑writing skills
* Sound knowledge of fostering regulations, standards, and safeguarding practice
* Ability to build strong relationships with carers, children, and professionals
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
