Reports to: Deputy Manager / Registered Manager
Location: The service premises, but you may be required to work from other locations at the discretion of the company and with appropriate notice.
Working Hours: Full Time

* To organise and provide cleaning services within the service in accordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, and in line with accepted best practices

* 5 days over a 7-day period, as agreed with the manager

Responsibilities and Duties of the Job

Role-specific Duties:
The Housekeeper responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

* Provide leadership to the domestic cleaning and laundry functions of the service
* Ensure cleaning, laundry, and domestic equipment are maintained by staff in accordance with manufacturing instructions and health & safety guidelines
* Assist in the assessment of the effectiveness of cleaning implementation and delivery
* Supervise the cleaning and laundry services within the service in accordance with agreed standards
* Implement actions to meet and maintain cleaning standards
* Systematically solve day-to-day problem issues as they arise
* Ensure rooms for viewing are presented to a high standard
* Prepare schedules which identify and allocate responsibility for daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and cyclical cleaning/maintenance tasks
* Order stock of cleaning products and PPE
* Ensure compliance with COSHH regulations
* Evaluate standards of cleaning competence
* Ensure the service users’ rights are protected
* Promote and protect the welfare of individuals supported by the service

Working with Others:

* Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service
* Be involved in the implementation and maintenance of the service’s quality assurance programme
* Cooperate with the implementation, evaluation, orientation, and induction of all new employees
