Job Description:
Hays Education is working with a number of schools in Bristol to find dedicated and passionate General Teaching Assistants to support their students in creating a positive and engaging learning environment. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to help deliver high-quality education to students across various age groups and abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist classroom teachers in preparing and delivering lessons.
2. Provide 1:1 or small group support for students who may need extra help with their studies.
3. Help maintain a productive and positive classroom environment.
4. Support students with special educational needs (SEN) in line with individual learning plans.
5. Monitor and track student progress, offering support as necessary.
6. Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping and resource preparation.
7. Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
Key Requirements:
8. Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
9. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
10. A positive and patient attitude with a genuine desire to help students succeed.
11. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
12. Enhanced DBS check (Hays can assist with this if needed).
13. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
