Are you an experienced and organised professional with a passion for customer service and equipment hire? We re looking for a Hire Desk Manager to lead a busy and dynamic team based in Northamptonshire.
* Job Title: Hire Desk Manager
* Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP36,000 (room to negotiate regarding salary)
* Location: Rushden (Northamptonshire)
* Permanent Position
* Working over a 7 day week operations, some weekends may be included.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the hire desk
* Lead, mentor and support the hire desk team to deliver outstanding customer service
* Liaise with clients and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate hire bookings
* Monitor and optimise the utilisation of equipment and vehicles
* Maintain accurate records of hire contracts, delivery schedules, and customer communications
* Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations
About You:
* Previous experience in a Hire Desk or related managerial role (plant hire, tool hire, or logistics sector preferred)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
* Confident in using hire management software and Microsoft Office applications
* Customer-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
