Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Commissioning Manager to join our dynamic Natural Resources team. You’ll be working on exciting projects across Kent, Sussex, and Hampshire as part of our impressive 7-year, £1bn framework with Southern Water.

Location: Work from home and on-site across the Southern Water patch - Kent, Sussex, or Hampshire.

Your Responsibilities
As our new Commissioning Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in our NRNN water team. You’ll collaborate closely with project teams to plan and execute all MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) and process commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle. Your success will hinge on effective communication and collaboration with Southern Water while representing Kier’s interests.
In your day-to-day, you will:
* Develop and own a comprehensive commissioning plan and strategy.
* Create and manage project handover documentation with Southern Water for seamless project completion.
* Lead the commissioning team and engineers, including overseeing the recruitment process.
* Work collaboratively with the senior project team to devise efficient, practical, and safe solutions throughout the program.
* Monitor the construction program, mitigate delays, and work with the team to achieve positive outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* A proven track record in delivering large, multidiscipline MEICA projects and experience in planning the commissioning process.
* Knowledge and experience in the water sector, preferably with clean and wastewater.
* Familiarity with pumps/pipe systems, sludge, ozone generation systems, chemical dosing, and water/wastewater treatment process equipment.
* Experience with 3D modeling for commissioning engagement and planning (not for model creation or design).
* Knowledge of Reg 30 / WRAS and relevant legislation.
