Base: Lister Hospital (with travel across multiple sites)
Pay Rate: Band 5 - £16.53 per hour, weekend enhanced rates.
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (On Call Rota required)
Shift rotation: rotating weeks between early (0630 – 1430) late (Apply online only)), Mid (Apply online only)). Oncall every 5th week (weekend & evening call outs included)

E&N Herts are looking for 2 skilled, adaptable Electrical Engineers to join their NHS Maintenance Team, where you’ll work across the trust sites on everything from fault finding to maintaining essential systems.
Duties include:
* Diagnose and repair faults on healthcare building services, including hot water boilers, electrical distribution services, motors, ventilating plant and controls, fire alarms, nurse call and panic/intruder alarms, and lift trappings.
* Conduct day-to-day repairs and planned maintenance on all facilities, plant, and equipment.
* Maintenance of electrical lighting, power installations, motors, HVAC, control circuits including timers/contactors/overloads/interlocks etc within buildings, electrical plant, and equipment. Electrical systems and associated equipment on both LV and SELV operating voltages.
* The post holder will be required to have knowledge of electrical & mechanical services.
* To undertake planned maintenance work as dictated by line manager, prioritise daily workload and carry out repairs to electrical installations.
* Be prepared to use your own vehicle for commuting between sites if company van is in use.

* As directed by the line manager the post holder may be required to manufacture, assemble, erect, and install new mechanical/electrical plant and equipment as and when appropriate.
* Have up-to-date knowledge of statutory regulations, health and safety legislation and best practice guidance associated with electrical installations and attend training courses as directed by Estates Management.
The skills required are:
* Must hold a clean valid UK driving license & be prepared to use your own vehicle for commuting between various hospital sites (mileage allowance provided).
* NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
* City and Guilds Level 3 in inspection and testing of electrical installations.
* 18th Edition certification
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Knowledge of the compliance demands in a health care setting
* Experienced in Electrical Building Services Maintenance desired but not essential
* Knowledge of HTM 06.02 (D)
* This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
