Job Purpose
Provide front of house receptionist duties and day‑to‑day support for the senior management team. Create a welcoming and professional impression at all times, ensuring that all stakeholders are greeted and expectations are exceeded.
Responsibilities
* General
o Be cheerful with an outgoing personality and commitment to highest standards of customer service.
o Act as duty manager/front of house receptionist when required; shifts include early mornings, evenings and weekends.
o Conduct guided tours of the club when needed.
o Support members and staff events as appropriate.
o IT literate and willing to receive training.
o Engage collaboratively with a team in various aspects of the school environment.
o Manage school sports kit ordering, stock counting and preparation for collection.
o Assist the Membership & Admin Manager with smooth running of the membership department.
o Help the management team with daily, weekly and monthly tasks when required.
* Reception
o Handle all customers and visitors to UCS Active; greet stakeholders and guests.
o Register all members and visitors entering UCS Active.
o Answer telephone enquiries and emails professionally.
o Assist in promotion of new campaigns and maximize sales opportunities.
* Administration
o Organise day‑to‑day reception operations and staff rotas.
o Administer membership database, including data entry, card administration, cancellations, suspensions, renewal letters, arrear management and ad‑hoc reports.
o Compile confidential reports and records.
o Complete ad‑hoc tasks supporting Memberships and Admin manager/senior management team.
* Customer Care
o Develop and maintain highest standards of customer care across responsibilities.
o Ensure after‑sales care through positive communication and regular member feedback.
Requirements
Enhanced DBS check required before commencement; recruitment checks will be conducted by UCS and through previous employer references. This position is within a school working with children under 18.
