The Role
As a Costs Draftsperson, you'll play a key role in maximising costs recovery and supporting fee earners across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
* Drafting Bills of Costs, Points of Dispute, and Replies
* Preparing both fixed costs and multi-track bills
* Negotiating settlements with opponents and insurers
* Assisting with detailed assessment proceedings
* Advising fee earners on costs strategy and recovery
* Managing deadlines and ensuring compliance with CPR requirements

✅ What We're Looking For
* Previous experience in a legal costs role
* Strong knowledge of CPR and costs procedures
* Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage a varied workload independently
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Experience in personal injury or civil litigation (desirable)
