A well-established special school in the Llanelli area is looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their experienced and supportive team.

About the Role:
You will work under the guidance of teaching staff to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and development. Your day-to-day role may involve one-to-one support, group work, communication support, sensory activities, and assisting with personal care depending on pupil needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of ALN needs
Assist with classroom activities and individualised learning plans
Support emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Help implement a nurturing and structured routine throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children or young people with ALN (in education, care or support roles)
Calm, patient, and adaptable approach to working with diverse needs
Passion for inclusive education and making a difference in young people’s lives
Confidence in supporting communication needs (e.g. Makaton, PECS) is beneficial
Willingness to assist with personal care if required
