We have the exciting opportunity for a Collaborative Communities Worker to join our VCSE Mental Health Alliance Team! This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in communities across Northumberland. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in building strong partnerships across statutory and voluntary sector organisations, helping to create inclusive, welcoming wellbeing spaces and improving access to mental health support for local people. You’ll be at the heart of collaborative working - connecting services, amplifying community voices, and helping shape support that truly meets local needs. This is a part-time (30 hours) role, on a fixed-term contract for 12-months (with the possibility of extension). The salary is £22,400.00 per annum (based on full-time equivalent of £28,000). You would primarily work from home, however you must be able to drive to different sites in Northumberland. What you'll do: Build and nurture strong, meaningful relationships with NHS, VCSE, Local Authority and community partners Support the delivery of community wellbeing spaces and outreach initiatives across Northumberland Promote collaborative, joined-up working to improve local mental health support Encourage co-production with service users, carers and families to shape services around local needs Help identify and develop local community assets and inclusive wellbeing opportunities Support a ‘no wrong door’ approach to accessible, holistic support - ensuring people can access the right support, when they need it Gather insights and feedback to help drive continuous service improvement and learning Collaborate with colleagues to champion inclusion, innovation, and recovery-focused practice What we're looking for: NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field Experience in community engagement, development, or mental health support Experience working alongside VCSE organisations, NHS services, or partner agencies Understanding of partnership working and community-based approaches Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to work collaboratively and develop practical solutions Good organisational, IT and time management skills Emotional resilience, adaptability and commitment to continuous improvement Passion for empowering communities and reducing health inequalities Commitment to values of compassion, accountability, respect, excellence and innovation This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship as it does not meet the requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
