About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Quality and Hygiene Manager to join our growing food manufacturing team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of product safety, hygiene, and compliance, ensuring our customers receive food products of exceptional quality every time.
This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing the site’s hygiene, quality assurance, and food safety systems while driving a culture of continuous improvement across the operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Quality and Hygiene teams to ensure consistent adherence to site and regulatory standards.
* Manage and maintain the site’s Food Safety Management System in line with BRCGS, HACCP, and ISO requirements.
* Conduct internal audits and support external inspections and customer visits.
* Develop and deliver hygiene schedules, ensuring effective cleaning validation and verification.
* Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
* Monitor supplier performance and raw material quality compliance.
* Lead quality training initiatives across the site to build awareness and accountability.
* Analyse performance data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
About You
* Proven experience in a Quality or Hygiene Management role within the food manufacturing industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, HACCP, and BRCGS Standards.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* A hands-on approach with strong attention to detail and organisational ability.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Food Science, Microbiology, or related discipline) desirable.
