Repairs & Voids Coordinator (Customer Focused)
Organisation
Job Description
Are you passionate about delivering excellent service and helping people feel at home? We’re looking for a Repairs & Voids Coordinator who puts customers first and thrives on making a difference through clear communication, empathy, and proactive support.
The role:
This role is less about technical repairs knowledge and more about being a customer service champion—ensuring that residents feel heard, supported, and informed throughout their repairs journey. You’ll coordinate schedules, track progress, and keep everyone in the loop, making sure the customer experience is smooth and stress-free.
We value colleagues who consistently demonstrate and champion our values and who create positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
Although not an exhaustive list, key responsibilities include:
* Customer First: Be a friendly and reliable point of contact for residents, ensuring they’re kept updated and supported throughout the repairs and voids process.
* Clear Communication: Liaise with surveyors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure updates are shared promptly and accurately.
* Organised & Efficient: Schedule inspections, track progress, and follow up on outstanding actions to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
* Supportive & Proactive: Help with data collection, reporting, and complaint resolution—always with the customer’s experience in mind.
* Detail-Oriented: Reconcile invoices and support the team in resolving any payment queries quickly and professionally.
We offer hybrid working but there is an expectation that you attend the office 3 times a week, and additionally as needed.
About You:
At Brighter Places, we value and nurture talent, welcoming both experienced professionals and those with the right attitude and determination who are looking to get their foot on the ladder. No matter who you are, where you’re from, or the journey you’ve been on so far, we’ll welcome your unique experience and perspective—and help you find your brighter future.
For this role, we are looking for individuals who have:
* Experience in a customer-facing or administrative role.
* Confidence in communicating with a wide range of people.
* A calm, empathetic approach to problem-solving.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems.
