About the Role:
The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Urban Designer to join its expanding team. This role is crucial, acting as a bridge between architects and landscape architects to ensure cohesive and visionary designs. The Senior Urban Designer will play a key role in large-scale residential projects, bringing extensive experience and a dynamic personality to client-facing situations. As the first Urban Designer based in Guildford, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to lead the growth of this discipline locally, with the support of the existing team in Chelmsford. This position offers the potential to build and lead a team within the practice.
Qualifications Needed:
* 5-10 years of experience in Urban Design, with a strong portfolio of large-scale residential projects.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
* Proven experience working collaboratively between architectural and landscape teams.
* Strong leadership skills and the ambition to grow and mentor a team.
* Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovative urban design.
