Vetro Education is seeking to recruit experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of roles with learners with Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties, in a special school in Cardiff. The school supports secondary-aged learners with Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and have asked Vetro to recruit Teaching Assistants experienced in this field. Having a passion and understanding of outdoor education would be extremely beneficial as this is something at the core of what the school does.
Overview:
Title: Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties specialist
Pay: £90.00 per day minimum
Location: Cardiff
Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday 830am - 330pm

The role: What you'll be doing as a Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties specialist
Supporting and supervising learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD or Challenging Behaviour
Taking part in various Outdoor Education sessions
Assisting learners at the start of the school day and when leaving at the end of the day
Assisting staff members in preparing the classroom for a lesson
Working with learners in small groups and or working 1:1 with children with additional needs
Support the class teacher in the delivery of the lessons
Assist learners at break time with their lunch
Engage learners with both classroom and out-of-classroom activities
Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies
The candidate: What you'll need to be successful as a Teaching Assistant - Social and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties specialist
At least 3 months experience of working with learners with SEBD, SEMH, EBD or challenging behaviour
Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council) - we can help you with this
References covering the last two years (no gaps)
Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
