Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children? We’re looking for dedicated Deputy Managers to join our Residential Children’s Services in Weymouth. Our homes range from one-bed to six-bed properties, supporting children aged 5–17 who have experienced adversity and trauma. This role is based in a solo placement home, offering a unique opportunity to provide focused, individualised care. About the Role As a Deputy Manager, you will: • Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home. • Lead and develop a team of Residential Child Care Workers. • Ensure the highest standards of care using trauma-informed practices embedded in our culture. • Build strong, empathetic relationships with children, providing stability and security. • Maintain compliance with Ofsted standards and legislative frameworks. You’ll spend approximately 80% of your time working directly with young people and 20% on administrative tasks over the monthly period, your manager will discuss with you how this works. Sleep-in duties are required and paid at an additional £50 per sleep-in. What We’re Looking For Essential: • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Deputy Manager in a Children’s Residential Setting. • Can also be team leader looking for promotion, but have two years experience • Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification. • Full UK driving licence. • Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and safeguarding practices. Desirable: • Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (or willingness to work towards it). • Proven track record of compliance and quality care delivery. Why Join Five Rivers?
