Locum Oncology Pharmacist – Hospital Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Oncology Pharmacist to join a leading NHS hospital through our agency. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist with oncology experience to work within a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting cancer treatment services.
The Role
You will provide specialist clinical pharmacy support to oncology and haematology services, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of systemic anti-cancer treatments (SACT) and oncology medicines management.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical screening and validation of oncology prescriptions
Supporting chemotherapy and SACT services
Providing specialist clinical advice to consultants, nurses, and wider MDTs
Reviewing and optimising oncology treatment regimens
Supporting aseptic services and oncology governance processes
Ensuring compliance with national cancer treatment protocols and safety standards
Patient counselling and medicines education
Requirements
Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Previous NHS oncology pharmacy experience essential
Experience working with chemotherapy/SACT services
Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively within a specialist multidisciplinary team
