Job Overview PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS FROM STAFF CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BY BETSI CADWALADR UNIVERSITY HEALTH BOARD THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO MATERNITY COVER IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR THE SECONDMENT POSITION, YOU MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM YOUR CURRENT LINE MANAGER PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POST. This is an opportunity to work as a Band 6 Physiotherapist in Colwyn Bay Community Hospital. Working as part of the MDT delivering rehabilitation in a community hospital setting, covering a caseload of wide ranging orthopaedic and medical conditions. The post holder may also be required to provide cover to the inpatient wards in Llandudno Hospital. Please not that this is a fixed term post and open to current employees of BCUHB. Any applicant should discuss with their current line manager before submitting an application. Main duties of the job The successful applicant would be required to deliver evidence based practice, be responsible for training and supervision of both rotational staff and Physiotherapy support staff ranging from Band 2 to Band 4 and contribute to service development. To carry out physiotherapy assessments and treatments; developing individualised therapeutic treatment programmes for a specialised caseload in the relevant clinical area. Patients may include those with physical and psychological problems in area of speciality; some of whom may have a level of complexity. Team leader; clinical specialist or advanced practitioners are available for clinical and managerial support. Once in post there will be support from the team leader on site as well as training opportunities within the wider Physiotherapy service. This post also includes a requirement to work as part of the on-call Respiratory rota, for which training will be provided. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
