The Materials & Logistics Handler is responsible for the end-to-end coordination of materials across the manufacturing operation, including goods inwards, internal material flow, and outbound logistics. This role ensures the accurate receipt, storage, movement, and dispatch of materials to support uninterrupted production, inventory accuracy, and efficient supply chain operations.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
9. Receive and unload incoming raw materials, components, and deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation. Verify quantities and reporting any discrepancies, shortages, or damaged packaging.
10. Accurately record goods received within ERP/WMS systems
11. Ensure proper labelling, identification, and traceability of all materials
12. Allocate and store materials in designated locations in line with company procedures
13. Supply raw materials and components to production lines in accordance with production schedules
14. Transport work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods between departments
15. Ensure timely replenishment of materials to prevent production downtime
16. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records within company systems
17. Conduct regular cycle counts and stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy
18. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock levels
19. Apply stock rotation principles (e.g., FIFO) to minimise waste and obsolescence
20. Pick, pack, and prepare finished goods for dispatch in line with customer and operational requirements
21. Coordinate outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery
22. Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including delivery notes and labels
23. Liaise with transport providers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient logistics operations
24. Identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce logistics inefficiencies
25. Remove waste, packaging, and excess materials from production areas
26. Maintain clean, organised, and safe warehouse and production support areas
27. Ensure appropriate storage conditions and effective space utilisation
28. Support general warehouse activities and continuous improvement initiatives
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
29. Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, goods inwards, or logistics role
30. Familiarity with ERP/MRP/WMS systems and inventory control processes desirable
31. Experience in goods receiving, stock control, and dispatch operations desirable
32. Forklift licence or certification is highly desirable

33. Strong attention to detail, particularly in receiving, stock accuracy, and documentation
34. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment
35. Good communication and teamwork skills across departments
