Job Overview
The Radiology department at The Grange University Hospital is seeking a Band 5 Diagnostic Radiographer to join the X-ray team. We are looking for a motivated individual to undertake a full range of diagnostic radiographs for in-patients and out-patients.
Following an induction, participation in out-of-hours shifts and rotation to our satellite department in Pontypool, as well as other X-ray departments within the Health Board, will be expected.
We welcome applications from those passionate about Radiology and committed to producing high-quality images and care. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable, but applications from Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
Main duties of the job
* Perform radiographic examinations.
* Provide a high-quality, efficient radiographic service.
* Manual handling of patients and equipment, with training provided.
* Familiarity with RIS, PACS, and clinical workstation software.
* Observe personal duty of care when operating equipment.
* Participate in surveys or audits related to the role.
* Participate in out-of-hours services as required.
* Maintain and report on equipment condition.
* Keep up-to-date with radiographic techniques and departmental equipment.
