Overview
We are seeking a Support Officer in Housing and Technical Resources to join the Refugee Resettlement Team. The role supports families who settle in South Lanarkshire as part of the Home Office Global Refugee Programme.

Hours & Salary
35 hours per week, Permanent. Salary £32,337 – £37,465 per year.
Responsibilities
* Support existing families and new arrivals in the Refugee Resettlement Team.
* Provide assistance on a flexible schedule, often outside normal working hours.
* Maintain accurate records and coordinate with other support services.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience supporting refugees is essential.
* Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and non‑verbal.
* Excellent planning and organisational acumen.
* Highly flexible and creative problem‑solving abilities.
* Willingness to work early starts and late finishes as required.
Selection & Background Checks
* If selected, you may be asked to assist the recruitment team with routine checks.
* Applicants must undergo a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check before a formal offer.
* Applicants born outside the UK or who have lived outside the UK for a continuous period of three months in the past 10 years must supply a translated overseas criminal record check.
