An established and forward-looking secondary school in Bushey is seeking a motivated Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This role would suit an experienced Maths Teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to develop their skills within a well-supported department.
The Opportunity
You will be joining a committed and enthusiastic Mathematics Department, delivering engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will help students build confidence, resilience, and strong problem-solving skills, while promoting a positive attitude towards mathematics.
Main Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 classes
* Plan structured lessons that support progress for learners of all abilities
* Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and challenge students
* Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress effectively
* Provide timely and constructive feedback
* Maintain a calm, focused, and inclusive classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum planning
* Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Has experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting (ECTs encouraged to apply)
* Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Maths
* Is reflective, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
* Displays confident behaviour management and positive communication skills
* Has an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one
