About the Role
We are seeking a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. The role is suited to someone who enjoys detailed, investigative work and is comfortable moving between structured research, analytical thinking and direct engagement with sources.
Responsibilities
* Conducting in-depth open-source research across corporate records, litigation, regulatory filings, media and other public databases
* Identifying, vetting and engaging relevant human sources, including former employees, counterparties, advisers and other informed observers
* Conducting telephone and video interviews to gather non-public, experience-based insight
* Analysing and synthesising findings from multiple sources to identify risks, inconsistencies and material themes
* Preparing clear, concise written reports and briefings tailored to client needs
* Working closely with colleagues to plan research approaches, sense-check findings and ensure quality and consistency
* Engaging with clients, where appropriate, to clarify scope, discuss findings and support decision-making
Qualifications
* A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Required Skills
* Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to work through complex and incomplete information
* Experience producing clear written reports and summaries for professional audiences
* Excellent verbal communication skills and a confident, professional phone manner
* Strong attention to detail and sound critical judgement
* The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a small, collaborative team
* Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage thoughtfully with a wide range of people
Preferred Skills
* Experience in due diligence, investigative research, journalism, background screening or a related field (beneficial but not essential)
