Paramount Personnel are recruiting for a rosette level sous chef, to join its client, an independently owned restaurant in the Barnstaple area of North Devon. With a great reputation across the South West, the successful sous chef will be joining a vastly experienced team, whilst working closely with Head Chef in running daily operations within a busy kitchen.
Working in a prestigious restaurant, with an outstanding reputation, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a team of chefs, contributing to a menu that celebrates local, seasonal produce and consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience.
Sous Chef responsibilities to include;
* Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes.
* Leading, motivating managing and training the kitchen team.
* Assisting the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus, assisting with all aspects of kitchen management.
* Stock control, ordering, dealing with suppliers and all aspects of kitchen health, hygiene and safety.
* Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
The ideal sous chef will have a strong set of characteristics, including;
* Proven experience in a rosette or Michelin kitchen, within a sous chef role.
* Possess exceptional culinary skills and a keen eye for detail.
* A natural leader, with a natural ability in progressing other junior chefs.
* Thrives in a fast paced environment, whilst maintaining composure under pressure.
* Understands the importance of impeccable hygiene and food safety standards.
