Recruitment Associate

Location: Merthyr Tydfil
Starting Salary: £28,000 per year
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent


About the Role

You’ll work closely with an experienced consultant, supporting the placement of candidates into schools, managing bookings, and ensuring a smooth recruitment process. This fast‑paced, people‑focused role offers a clear progression into a Recruitment Consultant position where you will manage your own desk and client base.


Key Responsibilities

* Support a senior consultant with filling daily and long‑term bookings in schools
* Source, screen, and register candidates (teachers, teaching assistants, support staff)
* Manage candidate availability and match them to suitable roles
* Coordinate interviews, placements, and compliance checks
* Ensure all safeguarding and compliance requirements are met (including DBS and references)
* Maintain accurate records on the CRM system
* Attend meetings in schools alongside a Recruitment Consultant
* Build strong working relationships with candidates to gain loyalty


Career Progression

This role is designed to develop you into a Recruitment Consultant within an agreed timeframe. You will:

* Learn the full recruitment lifecycle
* Build relationships with schools and education professionals
* Develop your own client base (schools)
* Take ownership of your own desk and revenue target


What We’re Looking For

* Confident communicator with strong people skills
* Highly organised with good attention to detail
* Motivated, target‑driven, and eager to learn
* Previous sales, customer service, or admin experience (preferred but not essential)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.)
* Very strong written and oral communication skills
* Organised, pleasant personality, self‑motivated, and team‑player
* Flexible, current driving licence
