Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Vascular Scientist to join the Vascular Studies service at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, based primarily at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. The service works across several NHS sites, including Barnet Hospital, Hadley Wood Hospital, Finchley Memorial Hospital, North Middlesex Hospital and The Whittington Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Perform core Doppler ultrasound activity.
* Assess and manage patients with problematic vascular access for haemodialysis, complex aortic aneurysms, vascular malformations, renovascular disease, and complex venous disease.
* Participate in the specialist microvascular service, performing cold challenge thermography and nailfold capillaroscopy.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes 12 Consultant Vascular Surgeons, 4 Clinical Nurse Specialists, neurovascular and diabetic foot MDTs, research fellows, junior doctors and the pathway navigation team.
