POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Supervisor of Housing & Homelessness, the Eviction Prevention Coordinator position will be responsible for the coordination and administration of eviction prevention services and supports to ensure successful tenancies are maintained within the community housing portfolio. This position will provide a range of in-home housing supports focused on long term housing stability, community integration and wellness. The Coordinator will work directly with the Human Services team to understand and make connections with tenants at risk of tenancy loss.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Post‑secondary education, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in social services programs. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
* Demonstrated ability to work with tenants who live with multiple challenges related to marginalization, mental illness, substance use, complex health challenges, poverty, and trauma.
* Excellent knowledge of the Housing Services Act, Residential Tenancies Act, Ontarians for Disabilities Act, as well as knowledge of other applicable legislation.
* Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to exercise a high level of independence and integrity while working in a non‑standard work environment.
