Responsibilities

The post holder will have operational management responsibility for Children's Neurodevelopment\u2019s Teams and will ensure the provision of high-quality clinical services supporting individuals with access to assessments and appropriate treatment for ADHD and Autism. The post holder will ensure the coordination and development of the team, implementing and maintaining services within a defined resource, and working collaboratively with external partners to ensure that mental and physical health needs are supported with parity and that the service operates in a safe, effective and efficient way as part of the wider health and social care system.

The post holder will be required to provide clear, visible operational and clinical leadership (in line with experience and qualifications), uphold and monitor the clinical standards of the service, provide managerial supervision to the team and support the Service Manager and Directorate Leads with the delivery of the service.

Applicants should have extensive experience of working at Band 6 or above, effective communication skills, and be able to represent the service in meetings, write reports, respond to complaints and interface with colleagues from a range of multi-disciplinary backgrounds. The role requires passion to make a difference, a high level of motivation, excellent leadership skills, and the willingness to travel across all localities of the Trust. Opportunities to support professional development and management support will be provided by the service manager.


Qualifications

Band 6 or above seniority, experience in clinical leadership, strong communication and report writing, ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams, passion for children's mental health, and willingness to travel locally.
