The Role
Are you an experienced student recruitment and marketing professional looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment?
As a Marketing and Student Recruitment Officer based in one of our faculties, you will be responsible for developing and delivering activity to recruit and convert high-quality UG and PG students to our diverse range of degree programmes. You will enjoy a varied role, working with key stakeholders across the university to drive the faculty’s student recruitment ambitions forward.
There are three roles available, two based in the Faculty of Medical Sciences and one within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Key Accountabilities
* Support the implementation of Faculty marketing and recruitment plans, contributing to the achievement of student recruitment targets across all levels and markets.
* Assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of subject-specific campaigns, working in partnership with academic schools and central marketing teams.
* Create, commission, and adapt content for digital and print channels, ensuring it is audience-focused, accessible, and aligned with brand and compliance standards.
* Coordinate the production of marketing materials and communications for prospective students, including email campaigns, printed brochures, and digital assets.
* Contribute to the design and delivery of communication plans for enquirers and offer holders to support lead generation, engagement, and conversion.
* Conduct and support market research activities, including competitor analysis, applicant surveys, and secondary research to inform campaign planning and portfolio development.
* Support the delivery of high-quality recruitment and conversion events, both in-person and online, including Faculty participation in university-wide initiatives.
* Recruit, train, and coordinate student ambassadors, managing the creation of authentic digital content that reflects the student experience.
* Represent the Faculty at higher education fairs and recruitment events, working closely with central teams to ensure integrated activity.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the University to share best practice, align strategies, and contribute to cross-institutional marketing initiatives.
* Remain flexible and responsive to evolving priorities and undertake additional duties as required in response to changes in the higher education landscape.
The Person (Essential)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Experience in a marketing and/or student recruitment role, ideally within a higher education setting.
* Proven ability to support the development and delivery of marketing campaigns and evaluate their effectiveness.
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with experience producing content for a range of audiences and platforms.
* Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform decision-making and improve campaign performance.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
* Confident presenter with experience of developing and delivering engaging presentations for a range of audiences
Attributes and Behaviour
* Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to use initiative, anticipate challenges, and actively seek opportunities to improve processes and outcomes.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* A proactive, flexible approach with a willingness to work evenings and weekends, with occasional travel and overnight stays.
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
Qualifications
* A degree or equivalent qualification, or vocational experience demonstrating progression through increasingly demanding roles.
* A professional marketing qualification (e.g., from the Chartered Institute of Marketing) is desirable.
