Overview
Senior Social Worker – Mental Health and Substance Use. Location: Northwest, Southwest and Southeast localities. Salary: £47,639 – £56,392. Hours: 36 per week.
Edinburgh City Health & Social Care Partnership (EHSCP) is transforming the way social work delivers support and services, focusing on mental health and substance use. This role is part of that transformation.
Responsibilities
* Line manage a small team of social workers and CCA's.
* Work closely with health and partner agencies to develop care plans and support people to remain safe and work towards recovery goals in the community.
* Ensure consistency across the four city areas and provide support and cover for colleagues.
* Develop and improve services and support the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker committed to supporting adult citizens of Edinburgh.
* Experience within Mental Health and Substance Use Services, Adult with Incapacity and Adult Support and Protection.
* Experience managing others and working within a multidisciplinary team.
* Knowledge of the Recovery Focused and Conversational approach and of the Social Care (Self‑directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013.
* Experience with complex cases.
* Training in MHO, Practice Educator and ASP is desirable.
* Must join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. Overseas criminal record check required if exposed abroad for 3 months or more in last 5 years.
