Purpose of the role
To develop and implement marketing strategies to promote brand, products, and services across various markets
Accountabilities
* Development and implementation of marketing strategies and delivery that aligns with the banks business objectives and are informed by market research, customer needs and competitive landscape.
* Collaboration with product development, sales, and other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives, to achieve specific, well defined outcomes, as needed.
* Development of compelling and targeted content for various marketing channels, including print, media and related collateral, if needed.
* Analysis of data to make informed decisions and optimize marketing strategies, use of data analytics tools to measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns.
* Management of the marketing budget, allocating resources to maximise ROI.
* Defines marketing vision, sets goals, clarifies objectives and works across organisations to achieve specific, well defined outcomes.

Join us as a Head of Brand and Communications planning at Barclays UK, where you'll be leading and shaping the brand planning and broader marketing communications planning for Barclays UK, working with teams across Barclays UK and the broader Barclays group. You will be responsible for leading the strategic communications planning process, translating the brand and business priorities into a fully integrated communications plan, and ensuring all our communications are insight-led and building a clear and compelling narrative for our audiences.
To be successful as a Head of Brand & Communications Planning, you should have experience with:
* Experience working with large‑scale brands and planning complex, high‑visibility brand activities
* Expertise in communications planning, spanning brand-building through to performance marketing and customer communications, with solid understanding of how to integrate them effectively.
* Excellent stakeholder management, including proven experience influencing and working with senior leaders
* Great use of data and insights, leveraging customer data and behavioural insights to shape strategic plans and decision-making
* Deep experience in comms planning and creative development, with the ability to challenge thinking and push creative and strategic boundaries
Some other highly valued skills may include:
* Experience in financial services, with an understanding of industry context, customer needs, and regulatory considerations
* People leadership and performance management experience, demonstrating the ability to develop talent, guide teams, and drive high performance
