About us
The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) is a fascinating place in which to forge your career. Tasked with keeping Britain moving safely and sustainably, we have a significant impact not only on road safety, but also on the life moments that can only be enjoyed when people can easily travel to their destinations. As a Driving Examiner you will be at the heart of this mission, helping to ensure people get their driving futures off to a great start. We are looking for proactive, friendly and safe drivers who would like to train to become fully qualified Driving Examiners.
We will provide all the training you need to get your career off to an incredible start. Our test centres are grouped into clusters, so you will select a cluster local to you. After a job offer is made, you will start training online, then undertake practical training at a local test centre. You will receive up to three weeks of guidance at a regional training facility before embarking on a rewarding career in which you assess the readiness of drivers seeking to secure their licences.
