This role is part of the UK Packaging reorganisation proposal and is advertised internally only for directly impacted UK Packaging employees APPLICATIONS CLOSING DATE: 14th MAY 2026 About the role The Product Innovation Manager UK & Ireland is responsible for driving the successful commercial deployment of strategic packaging innovations across the sub ‑ region. The role ensures new products achieve scaled commercial adoption, acting as the market lead and champion for innovation with both internal stakeholders and customers. You will identify customer and market pain points, translate these into innovation requirements, and shape sales and go ‑ to ‑ market plans that support growth. Working closely with platform, sales and marketing teams, you will support pilot customer launches and ensure innovations land successfully in local markets. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Own and deliver sub ‑ regional innovation revenue targets and sales plans Build and manage regional revenue budgets in partnership with Sales and Finance Define customer targeting, market sizing and opportunity plans to support scaled growth Market ing Identify customer, market and retailer needs and translate insights into commercial opportunities Adapt centrally developed strategies, sales plans and marketing materials for local markets Refine market sizing and opportunity prioritisation for the UK & Ireland Sales Support and deliver sales training for new product launches Lead and support customer meetings, pitches and pilot deployments Feed customer insights into the innovation and product portfolio roadmap Marketing Communication s Represent DS Smith at trade fairs, and other marketing activities, such as Webinars Input, monitoring, and sharing of local marketing activities Stakeholder Management Stakeholder management and collaboration across a multitude of functions, bringing and sharing feedback Represent the region at governance forums, such as monthly product updates and commerciali s ation Toll Gates Performance A ccountable for a defined set of KPIs, including the meeting of set Innovation revenue targets to meet our growth agenda About You Degree or professional qualification in Product Management, Business, Marketing, Sales or related field Strong commercial, market and customer acumen with proven product management experience, preferably within packaging or manufacturing environments Experience working within a Stage ‑ Gate or similar innovation process Confident customer ‑ facing communicator and product advocate with excellent stakeholder management skills Agile, hands ‑ on and comfortable leading change E xperience working across multiple countries and cultures is preferred.
